I am currently engaged in a combination of administration, writing, spiritual accompaniment and retreat work. I am based in London but travel around, in Britain and overseas, as part of my ministry. I have done a variety of ministries over the years: teaching, school chaplaincy, parish work and now my present 'cocktail'. I have generally found it enriching to try to grow where I am planted and to move on when asked. I love the fact that our Sisters are present in many countries. We learn so much from one another. To me, religious life has been rather like finding a treasure in my own back yard and discovering that it can only be enjoyed if shared. I love to accompany others on their faith journeys, to help them appreciate God's love and forgiveness and discern where the Lord might be calling them. I also relish opportunities to share with others - through the spoken or the written word - the simple joy this way of life has brought me. This seems especially important in our western world where, sadly, anything to do with religion often has to choose between a low profile and a bad press. I wish more people knew about the goodness and the beauty. |
